Many people have asked me how we chose Emris' name. I wanted a name that was different...but not off the charts weird. I wanted him to have his own unique identity and know that his mom & dad put some thought into his name. I spent months looking through names online. Overall, I came up with about 3 or 4 I really liked. Emris/Emrys was one of them. The name means "immortal/undying". The spelling Emrys is of greek origin and Emris is of celtic origin. It's a strong name...different...unique...and I loved the meaning. I had so many complications early on...not knowing if he'd make it or not...so I felt it was fitting.
Taj came later. Since I picked his first name, Iz picked his middle name. My only request was that it was a one syllable name. Taj means "crown" and we both liked that...it's different, simple and unique.
He already has a million & one nicknames already. I called him lil Em. ETB. Baby boy. Em Teezy Beezy. Daddy calls him t-man. :) He likes them all! But I like knowing his name is his own - when he goes to school, chances are he will be the only Emris in his class!!!
