I've moved enough to know that sleeping in a new place for the first night is weird. You hear everything...but that's the thing about our new house...I barely heard anything! Our neighborhood is very quiet, compared to where we were. The only thing that woke me (about FIVE times) was Zoey jumping from her cat tower to the hardwood floors...and I have a feeling she was on the countertops too...which she knows she shouldn't be doing. She's explored quite a bit and seems to really like her new territory. We are 95% unpacked. The bad things about older houses is there is a definite lack of storage. The closets are fairly small and we have no place for linens, which means there is still a few boxes with extra blankets, sheets, and towels. I'll figure something out though - right now they are going to stay in the box in my "office" (aka Zoey's room). Speak of the devil...
I don't know what it is with bathrooms - but I can never find anything I like for shower curtains, rugs, etc. Our new bathroom is small. The walls are a sunflower yellow-ish and the floor has that same color, plus some gray and maroon in it. So, I decided to go with a bright shower curtain and a round dark red bathroom rug. All the colors go together and it does add some character to a tiny little bathroom...I can't seem to post the picture (?)...but hopefully soon I'll have more.
